The long-standing proposal to build a Kra Canal across Thailand would greatly complement China's Maritime Silk Road program, the creation of new water transport corridors connecting Asia to the rest of the world, supplementing the New Silk Road development corridors on land. This is how China is promoting the concept of peace through development, contrary to Obama's policy in Asia. Former Thai prime minister, General Chavalit Yongchaiyudh, has expressed his readiness to reassume premiership, if given the opportunity. Chavalit prompted media enquiries in May, after he allegedly signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with China to build a USD 28 billion canal that cuts through the Isthmus of Kra in southern Thailand. The Chinese government, meanwhile, denied the reports, saying that the meeting was merely a “private exchange” between businessmen and former officials conducting feasibility studies. Despite his long-standing political connections, Chavalit is perceived to be a controversial figure, having unpegged the Thai Baht from the US Dollar during his premiership, eventually triggering the 1997 Asian financial crisis. http://www.wochit.com This video was prod...
Today, under the name of Asia pivot, the Obama administration, aka British-Dutch Empire puppets, is continuing to adhere to imperial doctrine of no development in the Asia-Pacific Region. Once Obama gone and the Glass-Steagall and National and Global Public Credit system in place, the real Asia Pivot for real physical production will be possible.

Vic Stefanu, email@example.com. Bangkok is the capital and most populous city of Thailand. It is known in Thai as Krung Thep Maha Nakhon (กรุงเทพมหานคร). The city occupies 1,568.7 square kilometres (605.7 sq mi) in the Chao Phraya River delta in Central Thailand, and has a population of over 8 million, or 12.6 percent of the country's population.
Bangkok, Thailand 2016 🇹🇭 Bangkok is known as Venice of the East. There's tons of canals and waterways. This is just one of the typical tourist tours you can do, viewing some of the Bangkok floating houses and houseboats. We did this tour 3 years ago on our 'too weak' visit to Thailand, that kicked off my digital nomad and YouTube journey. A 1 hour ride is 1200 baht or about 35 USD. So ya we are back from Africa! We will be living and traveling in Thailand for the next 2 months, so stay tuned! 📝 About Riley: I quit my job in October 2014 and moved to Chiang Mai, Thailand (the Digital Nomad capital of the world) with my best friend on a mission to replace our 9-5 incomes with an online business and continue to travel the world. Well, I'm still here folks and it's amazing. [A Digital N...

Decades of over-development, primarily driven by an international demand for Thai seafood had devastating effects on Thailand's coastline and wildlife. As mangrove forests were destroyed to build shrimp farms, coastal villages were left unprotected from mass erosion, washing away entire villages. Saisunee Chaksuin, WWF's Irrawaddy Dolphin Project Manager and passionate Thai conservationist, has worked hand in hand with the community to guide their mangrove conservation efforts; setting an example of personal commitment that really lead to a positive change for people, species and the environment. Through WWFs mangrove restoration efforts in collaboration with local villages, the Thai people have begun to reclaim the lost mangrove forests, and iconic wildlife have returned to the region.
Due to the many unused footages from South East Asia travel video https://vimeo.com/157133452, I decided to break up the countries down individually starting from Thailand. At the beginning of 2016, I travelled briefly in Thailand with the people I met on the road. I wanted to see more of my own country so I decided to tag along with them. The trip took me to Kho Phangan, Koh Lipe and the Khasok National Park and all of these have one thing in common.. the mode of transportation. I realized that in traveling long distances around these areas, we had to rely on the long tail boat which is an integral part of the local's way of living in the south of Thailand. Thanks to the long tail boat, we were able to go snorkeling, went deep into the rain forest, and interact with wild life up close and...

The World Before Me is a modern-day round the world trip, set to the words of a 19th century poet. “Afoot and light-hearted I take to the open road, healthy, free, the world before me.” 160 years have passed since Walt Whitman penned this text, but feelings about travel remain the same. We’re still inspired by the open road and still excited by discovering the unknown. In the fall of 2015, while preparing for a trip that would take me literally around the world, I couldn't shake the desire to share the experience of travel, which for me is a very personal one. This film is the culmination of that desire. I carried my camera for 5 months through 15 countries. The endless metropolis of Tokyo, tiny islands of The Philippines, busy streets of India, the Swiss Alps and the Scottish Highland...

During our time backpacking and traveling around Asia we spent more time in Thailand than any other country in SE Asia and for good reason. Unlike most tourists who visit Thailand, we decided to skip most of the beaches located in the southern regions of the country and instead focus most of our time in Northern Thailand. Chiang Mai, our home away from home, became our base for several months and by the time we left we promised ourselves we'd return again in the near future. THE REAL WORLD OF THAILAND The Real World of Thailand is a story that spans a three year period in this country's exciting history. You'll get to know Thailand from the hustle and bustle of Bangkok to the under sea coral gardens of southern Thailand, to the bridge on the River Kwai of World War II fame. You'll ride at thrilling speeds in a long-tail boat, on jungle and village canals called klongs. But the most dangerous and exciting part of this story is the annual opium harvest Rick filmed in the mountains of Thailand and Burma. At night Bangkok comes alive with classical Thai dance and kick boxing across the street. In the south, an island named Puket and a beach town named Patiaya provide scuba diving, so you'll see the under sea world here and there's also parasailing, so ...
Cambodia Full Documentary Subscribe to US Today! Cambodia has had a pretty bad run of luck for the last half-millennium or so. Ever since the fall of Angkor in 1431, the once mighty Khmer Empire has been plundered by all its neighbours. It was colonized by the French in the 19th century, and during the 1970s suffered heavy carpet bombing by the USA. After a false dawn of independence in 1953, Cambodia promptly plunged back into the horrors of civil war in 1970 to suffer the Khmer Rouge's incredibly brutal reign of terror, and only after UN-sponsored elections in 1993 did the country begin to totter back onto its feet. Much of the population still subsists on less than the equivalent of US$1 a day, the provision of even basic services remains spotty, and political intrigue remains as com...
